PASSION, QUALITY, & PROFESSIONALISM

I have broad expertise in the environmental conservation and Indigenous rights movements in Russia (Siberia, Far East) and Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Mongolia) and offer project-based or long-term consulting in research, grants administration, program development, and program management.

I am the director of Eurasian Wildlife and Peoples (a project of Earth Island Institute), an organization that partners with Eurasian community organizations to protect natural landscapes and wildlife and support Indigenous peoples and traditional lifeways in Eurasia.

I am also a translator specializing in Russian-to-English translation of environmental conservation, related sciences (fisheries, wildlife biology, conservation), policy, and Indigenous affairs. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Russian Language and Linguistics, I have been translating professionally since 1999. I have traveled to and worked in Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Ukraine since 1993.

Confidentiality, ethical collaboration, and secure communications are key aspects of my work practices.
