I translate from Russian into English.

I began studying Russian in college, including a semester abroad at the Moscow Energy Institute in 1992. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Russian with a minor in Linguistics from Bryn Mawr College.  I lived and worked in Kiev, Ukraine in 1993. Since then, I have traveled throughout Russia, including Siberia and the Far East, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and beyond.

My output speed varies based on subject matter, materials and required supplemental research. I work very hard to ensure translations use consistent and accurate terminology and that they are expressive and a pleasure to read.

Rates

My rates are generally based on the number of words in the original source text. My rates are also based on turnaround time, technical difficulty, and document quality/format. Straight text is generally quoted and billed on the basis of the source materials, while labor-intensive tasks (text in jpgs, tables, certificates, etc.) may be charged at an hourly or flat rate. There may be additional charges for special services or extremely short deadlines, weekend or holiday work, complicated formatting, difficult-to-read source materials, or other services. Documents with fewer than 250 words are subject to a minimum fee.

Invoices

Invoices are issued on the day of project completion or as agreed upon in advance with the client. Invoices are payable within 30 days. No claims shall be considered 10 days from receipt of invoice.
